Case Study: The Lion

categories: case study, fun, inspirations.

The Artis Navi brand is about hunting for the quality and something special so the idea was to create a bit of fire/urban jungle thing but not to use any buildings/trees – but more about the colours and the shapes with lion lurking in the tall grass with this surreal feel that the grass is burning. The wallpaper is available here.

The first step was the sketch of the tiger, so I did work on rough doodle as I knew that the face won’t be fully visible hence there was no worries about the edge of the head. I based the sketch on a n istock photo but in the end departed from the original.
